KNOW YOURSELF

My latest book

On August 1st, 2021, I got involved in a car accident. Though the car got damaged, I was not injured. That moment was one of the turning points in my life. I especially had to develop a new philosophy when it came to the people I call friends.

It was during that time that I developed the concept for this book. I thought I would use the rest of that year to write this book. But it was impossible. I could start writing, and then put it off. I spent the rest of that year worrying, regretting, and feeling betrayed. So, I couldn’t write the book.

I do not write when I am angry or when I am sad, because I believe whoever it is that has made me angry or sad, could become the subject of my writing, and that would be unfair to the reader. So, I don’t.

As the healing came, my thinking became clear. And I found time to write. I got a pen and a book, and started writing. But then I gave up. This subject was heavy. I put my focus on other lighter matters. I published other books, and I put away this one.

At a certain point, I crossed it out because I felt it is not what the Holy Spirit wanted me to write. Now, it was the year 2022. I remember I worked on 8 manuscripts that year, and published 8 books. But I failed to write KNOW YOURSELF. But I was working on it in the background.

And then we entered the year 2023. And I remember a particular day when I dragged myself to church, and this preacher was preaching on something I don’t remember, and amidst my praying, I felt the urge to write KNOW YOURSELF. It must have been the moment of prayer that inspired me, because I could see how people were praying in their flesh. So, I felt the urge to write the book and explain these things to them, even though I knew they wouldn’t read my books.

So 2023, my spirit having inspired me, my soul was on fire. And I wrote 10,000 words. Again, I gave up. The book was heavy after those 10,000 words. Now, when I write the books, I always find a verse to hold on, a verse which produces the explanations. So for this book, I found most holding verses were in the book of Romans.

And I don’t like looking at Paul’s letters out of context. Paul’s letters are best understood by reading the entire letter. But I found myself quoting from Galatians, and then Romans, and then back to Galatians, and then the books of Corinthians. And I don’t like that kind of writing or Bible study. If you are a keen observer of my work, I take one book at a time or one verse at a time. I let my soul absorb the verse, while my spirit communes with it. That’s the best study for me.

Do you notice what I am doing? I am talking about the spirit and the soul differently. So I gave up again that year, but I published 5 books that year. I thought I would look at it in a different angle when I publish a commentary on the book of Romans or Galatians. But then somethings need to be pointed out directly in order to be understood. That was a thought.

For 2024, I didn’t bother. I was set on my Pearl Series, but something came up, which totally took me off my writing. I spent that year studying crypto. That’s why I only published two books. But I finally completed the KNOW YOURSELF manuscript. I was working on it in the background. I wrote the entire book in my notebook. I did this because I wanted to see things clearly.

And then this year, 2025, in March, I started typing this book. Things were flowing, though I faced so many challenges. The difference is, this time I was determined. Things were flowing. My soul was disturbed, but my spirit was calm. I wrote. I put off some things. I got lost, just to complete the book.

You can imagine my excitement when I came to the end of the last chapter in the book. Then something horrible happened. I use Atticus for writing, and for some reason, I couldn’t get the print version of the book! I wrote to their Customer Support to help me out, but that particular individual asked me so many questions. I knew what caused it. I lost a chapter, and this happened a lot, maybe because the application was open both on my computer and my phone, and I thought it was automatically saving. This is very complicated, but in the end, I had to rewrite the chapters. All of them! Just to have the Print Version!

It took me a whole day.

But anyway, I am done with the book. And I am happy to present it to you. If you want to know how the spirit, soul, and body function in your life, this is the book to read. Honestly, I see things clearly now. I learnt so much while writing the book. They say, if you want to learn, teach others. It is true. Because I knew I was teaching the reader, I had to be very clear in my writing. I had to write those things in a clear way.
